Stamping Parts Facing With Three Difficulties in China

Although having being widely applied, stamping parts in China are still facing with three difficulties.
1. Backward raw materials and related technologies
Steel made in China which is used for fasteners, chains, springs, bearings and moulds has poor quality and few descriptions, having direct influences on quality of stamping parts. In general, mechanical components are manufactured in batch and quantity, and products also require for various varieties and high machining precision. Those have high requirements and large investments for manufacturing technologies and equipments. Overseas, special equipments, production lines or flexible production lines which having high efficiency and precision are adopted to realize highly efficient automatic production. However, in China, due to being limited by capitals basic parts manufacturers have few investments on production lines.
Besides, enterprises have poor self-improving ability, lacking of advanced equipments and matching equipments, which has high impacts on quality and grade.
2. Insufficient funding, weak research and development
In the late of 1970’s and early of 1980s’s, hardware industry had ever imported advanced technologies from abroad. However, the industry is lack of software and hardware devotion to absorb technologies. According to experiences from abroad, required capital ratio between technologies input and absorption is 1:7. But, China acknowledged it late and the absorption was slow. The essence of market competition is the contest of technical strength. At present, large numbers of colleges and universities engage in scientific research. Lots of theoretical researches, scientific payoffs and patent papers have high level. But, they are less combined with actual production, especially low velocity of transforming into stamping parts.
3. Low professionalization and poor economic benefit
Compared with main machines, sparing parts manufacturers require less investments for establishing initial capitals and technologies. During several great economic developing periods, a batch of private manufacturers sprang up. However, because of various market demand points, low batches, those manufacturers cannot form economic scale. Most of manufacturers have low professionalization and level of equipments, instable quality and poor economic benefit.
